The 2009 Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl will be played on December 27th, 2009 on the LP Field in Nashville, Tennessee. The inaugural event of this always exciting college football bowl games was back in 1998. Coincidentally, at the same time the LP Field, the home of NFL's Tennessee Titans, opened and was chosen as the field-of-choice for the college bowl. ESPN agreed to broadcast the bowl through 2013. Since 2002 the well-known company Gaylord Hotels (a division of Gaylord Entertainment Company) is the title sponsor. In 2010 Franklin American Mortgage will take over as title sponsor with Gaylord Hotels remaining as major sponsor.

Clemson will return to practice Tuesday and arrive in Nashville on Dec. 23. The Tigers will practice Dec. 24-26 at Father Ryan.

Nashville's LP Field is located on the east bank of the Cumberland River, directly across the river from downtown Nashville, which makes it even more fun to hang-out before and after the game. The stadium's seating capacity is slightly under 69,000 although usually not all the seats are sold out for the college bowl games. The 2008 game has seen 54,250 spectators.
