Super Bowl 2012 (Super Bowl XLVI) will be the 46th annual edition of the Super Bowl in American football, and the 42nd annual championship game of the modern-era National Football League (NFL). A question that we hear a lot: When is the Superbowl ? This year's game will be played on February 5, 2012 and the location will be the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. NBC will broadcast the Super Bowl 46 and highlight of the Super Bowl Halftime Show will be Madonna. As of January 22, 2012, the AFC and NFC league champions have been crowned and the New York Giants and the New England Patriots will match-up in Super Bowl 2012, after playing in the 2008 Super Bowl XLII, when the Giants won 17 to 14 over the Patriots. Another interesting fact, this is the 15th time the Super Bowl is being played indoors. In an exciting game the New York Giants were able to pull past the New England Patriots and win the game 21 to 17.

Indianapolis, as event location for the SuperBowl 2012, was chosen by the NFL owners during their May 20, 2008 meeting and it is only the 4th time in NFL and Super Bowl history that the game is played in a 'cold city'. Other 'cold cities' hosting prior are Detroit, MI and Minneapolis, MN. As far as the 2012 Super Bowl halftime show, there are rumors floating around that Madonna may be the performer, with M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj performing as well; all three are performing on Madonna's upcoming single, "Give Me All Your Love," which will be performed as part of the show.
As in 2011 (for Super Bowl XLV), Doritos launched its Doritos Commercial "Crash The Super Bowl Ad Contest" with - again- many ad submissions by aspiring marketeers for Superbowl XLVI.

It IS official now. Madonna will perform during the Super Bowl 2012 Half Time Show. According to rumors she is going to sing 3 'old' songs and 1 newly released song during her 12-minute Half Time Show performance.
